Study Abroad Programs

These programs offer the best opportunity to earn credits towards your degree while abroad in an exotic destination with an FIU professor and friends. FIU and Non-FIU students of all levels may participate in the Study Abroad Program through the Office of International Studies for a period between two and eight weeks. The program consists of taking FIU classes in an international setting during the Summer semesters (some exceptions may apply).

Study Abroad Programs 2005

FIU Study Abroad programs are short-term summer programs that help students earn credits toward their degree with the benefit of instruction by FIU professors abroad. Opportunities are available in Europe, the Americas and Asia and include options in a variety of academic disciplines. Examples include programs in art and education in China, environment and culture in Jamaica, or business administration in the European Union.

Executive Engineering Education, Study Abroad Programs

The College of Engineering develops and offers programs in various engineering disciplines to promote Executive Engineering Education. The focus of these programs is primarily the education and training of working executives. Most of these programs are client driven. The two important categories of clients include - corporate clients and sponsoring educational institutions in other (host) countries.

Executive Engineering Education
MSEM in Chihuahua, Mexico, sponsored by ITESM Master of Science in Engineering Management, MSEM. The focus of the program is on manufacturing industries. The program is designed for middle and senior level executives.
MSEM in Kingston, Jamaica, sponsored by Crown Institute of Professional Studies Master of Science in Engineering Management, MSEM, program with a focus on manufacturing industries. CIPS, a tertiary institution registered with the Jamaican Ministry of Education, offers a wide range of programs including Certificates, Diplomas and Associate Degrees.
MSEM in Dominican Republic, sponsored by UTESA Master of Science in Engineering Management, MSEM, program with a focus on manufacturing industries.
MSEM in Tampico, Mexico, sponsored by ITESM Master of Science in Engineering Management, MSEM, program, with a focus on petro-chemical industries. The program is planned to start in January 2003.
